roses are red




On Valentines Day, I woke up to find this beautiful rose in a vase with a bunch of soft, misty baby's breath and a leaf that looked like a fan at 'my spot' on the table from my Daddy. It was the first rose I've ever received, and red roses are my favorite. Now it's hanging upside down with the rubber-band wrapped around it's stem and is secured to a nail in a piece of old, grey lumber hanging in our kitchen. It's a shame it fades so quickly, but even though it won't be as pretty as a fresh one when it's dried, it will last a whole lot longer. xx

    What a sweet message of love from your father! Roses are so beautiful, aren't they? Their fragrance is so delightful, and their beauty another reminder of our amazing Creator...
    {And I received a rose for Valentines day too! How funny... though considering our friendship, it shouldn't be unexpected! hehe }

    awwww!! my bestie showed up at my door with three red roses :) i'll have to take some pics on the piano as well! they're so hard to get the exposure right with the color :P so so so pretty!!
    i have several dried roses. red and a yellow i think :)
    daddy always gets us a little heart-shaped trinket for Valentine's Day :)

    aww. these are so gorgeous. My daddy gave me red roses too. It's kinda a tradition, my birthday is the day after Valentines Day, so it's extra special. :)
