humidity curled hair
heat baked streets and single stoplights.overcast skies the color of sea foam.
green trees that seemed to grow into the clouds.
cobblestone sidewalks.
empty streets.
quaint stores filled with treasures.
businesses that close at 4:00 pm.
the Vandalia State House.
ice cream cones.
deep, cool shade and memories of a visit years ago.
peeping through multiple pane windows.
exploring history.
observations and quiet busyness of a stop in Vandalia, Illinois on our trip back from "Ahia". ;)
